ORLANDO, Fla. (April 18, 2022) – The final buzzer has gone off on the 2022 AAU Basketball Easter Classic. Through all of the excitement, competition, and titles earned, we can still hear fans cheering on their teams. Twenty-two (22) teams celebrated the weekend with gold.
For more than 20 years teams have been traveling to Florida to participate in the AAU Basketball Easter Classic. This year saw 138 teams representing Bahamas, California, Florida, Georgia, and Puerto Rico take to the courts. ESPN’s Wide World of Sports Complex played host to 1,250 athletes who all had one goal in mind… win!
AAU medals were awarded to the top two (2) teams in each division. There were 22 divisions in total, ranging from 9 & under, all the way to 20 & under. One hundred thirty-eight (138) teams made up the divisions with pool play starting on Friday, April 15 and championship games taking place on Easter Sunday, April 17.

The top four (4) finishers in each of the high school age/grade divisions earned a seeding recognition into the 2022 AAU Boys and Girls Basketball World Championships.
Thank you to all of the competitors and teams that participated over the weekend. There were so many memorable moments and intense games over the three day tournament. None of it would be possible without you athletes. We are incredibly proud to see all of the accomplishments that are being made.
The spring season for AAU Basketball is just starting to heat up. Tournaments continue with the Memorial Day Classic and spots are filling up fast.
