PREVIEW: 2019 AAU Basketball Memorial Day Classic at Disney

AAU Basketball will host the 2019 AAU Basketball Memorial Day Classic on May 24-27 at ESPN Wide World of Sports and the Orlando Sports Center.

ORLANDO, Fla. – This Memorial Day weekend approximately 389 boys and girls basketball teams will compete in a three-day tournament from May 24-27 at ESPN Wide World of Sports and the Orlando Sports Center. Roughly 4,435 athletes from 13 states, including Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, New York, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Puerto Rico. International teams from Ontario, Canada and Santiago, Chile will also be making the trip for the Memorial Day Classic.
Divisions cover from 8U through seniors in high school, and games will be played on 26 courts between the ESPN Wide World of Sports and the Orlando Sports Center. Early bird registration begins on Thursday, May 23 from 4-8 p.m. in the Northeast Pavilion of the Arena, continuing on Friday May 24 from 2 – 9 p.m. and Saturday, May 25 from 7 a.m. – 12 p.m. at both venues.
Pool play will start on Friday, progressing into Saturday and Sunday. Bracket play is scheduled to begin on Sunday afternoon with championship games on Monday.
